Phillips Square to lead North America in sustainability and energy
efficiency
TORONTO, May 11 /CNW/ - Leading experts in building design met
at City Hall on May 2, 2007 for the City Hall and Nathan Phillips
Square
Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Charrette. The City of Toronto
and the Clinton Climate Initiative co-sponsored the event.
Sustainable Buildings Canada (SBC) organized the Charrette that

city in North
America. City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square will showcase this
environmental leadership by becoming state-of-the-art sustainable
facilities.
"We are very pleased that the Mayor and the City of Toronto
are fully behind improving the efficiency of the built environment
in Toronto," says
Michael Singleton, Executive Director of SBC. "And this Charette
for City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square serves as both a symbolic
and pragmatic step in
achieving that goal."
