Grand Opening of Niagara's Fury - June, 2008
What: The most spectacular, dramatic and immersive attractions in
the world. Premiering in 2008,the Niagara Parks
Commission's Niagara's Fury(TM) lets you experience the extreme,
violent and beautiful birth of Niagara Falls in a way you've never
dreamed possible.

FURY Background: Utilizing technology and science never before
conceived NPC assembledexperts from across the globe to produce
and create Niagara's Fury(TM). << FURY FIRSTS
- First-time use of high resolution digital cameras in 360 degree
format - First-time use of 9-camera rig on a helicopter - First-time
use of Macbook Pro laptop hard drives created specifically to
accommodate the project
- First-time use of a Dalsa high resolution camera for an entertainment
project (previously used exclusively for satellite and medical
imaging). It is now being used to shoot visual effects for the
new
James Bond film, "The Quantum of Solace" FURY BY THE

- 40 tonnes of aluminum used in construction
- 102 people can enter the Fury at once
- 600 people can enter per hour
- 33 foot wide Platform
- -56 foot wide Waterfalls
- 360-degree Seamless Screen
- Temperature extremes from 75 F to 40 F in two to three seconds
FURY SPECIAL EFFECTS
- Snow machines recreate blizzard conditions within theatre
- Wind machines add anything from a gentle breeze to storm force
winds
- High power strobes can place a lightning strike right in front
of audience's eyes
- A 360-degree Rain Curtain surrounds the audience with a dense,
sound-rich downpour of rain
- Rain spritzers bring the rain effects further into the theatre,
creating depth and adding gale bursts which can engulf the audience
- Cold air dump can drop the air temperature from 75 degrees
to 40 degrees Fahrenheit within seconds
- Water droppers light up oversized drops of water which fall
out of the darkness above and into the pool
- Fog systems can create anything from a light coating of fog
over the water to a dense floor to ceiling blanket
- Water cannons shoot up 18-foot spray from the bottom of the
pool
- Pool bubbles add turbulence to the pool water at a moments notice,
churning it up into white water.
- The moving platform will enhance the visual effects and emotional
experience of the audience
- All equipment housing, screen, structure in 360 theatre are
specially designed for a wet environment
