New Dining Guide to Restaurants in Toronto. Canada Travel News has created a new directory of Toronto restaurants based on the number of reviews in Toronto's top newspapers. The assumption is that only positive reviews will provide consumers with a quicker guide to the best Toronto restaurants and at the same time will most likely to reduce consumer risk in terms of the quality=experience=cost equations. Dining is an adventure.............>> MORE TORONTO DINING AND RESTAURANT INFO

Agritourist or Historical Tourist?

August 8, 2006 - A compelling story on the "Agritourist", in today's Globe and Mail makes one pause about our good fortunes here in North America. Author, Dani Couture starts with references to Alaskan smoked salmon, northern Ontario clover honey, and Chatham-Kent county peaches. Yummm! Couture goes on to add more culinary taste treats from Quebec, Lake Erie's shoreline. My only disagreement is with the lead-in to the article. Our rich food supply is indeed part of our cultural and historical institutions, dating back centuries to the first settlers and pioneers who have toiled to create a rich agricultural heritage. To celebrate the upcoming harvest one can choose from a list of Ontario Farmers Markets.
